Have you ever watched a movie more than once because you can’t get enough of it? Well, I have. Whenever I am too lazy to plan an outing with my family or friends I watch one of these movies, which transports me directly to the amazing locations and leave me dreaming about them for next few days. FYI, Goa is on my bucket list with my hubby. Here are 5 movies that inspire me all time to wanderlust.
1. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara
Truth be told, I always wanted to plan a trip like the leading protagonists in Zindagi Na Milegi Doobara to incredible locations in Spain. Recently, I am planning to visit Pune with my school friends in the exact same style. We will be flying to Pune from Bangalore and Kolkata. I know, going to Pune is not same as going to Spain but we have to start from somewhere, right?
2. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
Pardon the cheesy title of the movie but this movie shows me what I missed during my college years. During those days, I was not allowed to travel much and because of that I missed so many college and hotels trips. But, I intend to rectify that now. This movie brilliantly shows the hiking trip of a group of teenagers into the Himalayas and the life long bonds they build on their way.
Honestly, I didn’t like this movie that much but this movie introduced me to Corsica and gave birth to the wanderlust that I have today. The main message conveyed in this movie is to pursue what you are passionate about.
4. Dil Chahta Hai
Dil Chahta Hai is probably the first movie to introduce the Indian youth to road trips to Goa. I would love to wake up one day to see my friends standing at my door to take me on a road trip from Bangalore to Goa. A girl can only dream!
5. S3x and the City 2
Ok, probably this is not the typical travel movie but we cannot ignore the fact that girls love to travel luxuriously. S3x and the City 2 movie takes the leading ladies to the beautiful city of Abu Dhabi and leave us girls drooling on the sexy outfits worn by them. Who doesn’t like an all-expense paid trip with their buddies, huh?
I had to add Baywatch in my list. Yes, I am guilty of watching this movie, some days on repeat to just sooth my eyes on Rock and the lovely Florida beaches. This will just do fine until someone makes any movie on a trip to Disneyland. 🙂
If you have any movies which inspire you to travel the world, do share it with me! Thanks for taking time to read my post. Until next time, see ya!
