An Epic Dubai Itinerary: What To Do in Dubai for 7 Days

Dubai, famously known as the city of Gold, is every bit fascinating with its vibrant, positive and receptivity towards tourists from all over the world. It is one of the countries in Asia that have developed itself as per the Western technology yet have successfully preserved its root and culture. The astonishing variety of global cuisines is exciting for every foodie who comes here. Further, Dubai completely spoils you for a choice when it comes to shopping with its exquisite annual shopping festivals.

If you have seven whole days to spend in Dubai, you can have a whale of a time enjoying wonderful activities each day. We’ve created a custom itinerary that’ll help you get the best out of this city. We’ve included several fun activities, some romantic escapades, some historical and cultural exploration and more. In short, our itinerary includes a little bit of everything that you can do in Dubai. So what are we waiting for? Let’s begin!

Day 1

Morning: Begin your morning bright and early by exploring the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, Deira and Bur Dubai. These are the oldest parts of Dubai and are filled with historical and cultural significance.

Afternoon: Spend the hot afternoon in cool environs of the Dubai Mall. You can explore the mall all afternoon, taking in the 1200 plus retail outlets, the fabulous lobby, the Dubai Aquarium and the rest.

Evening: In the evening, take one of the world’s fastest elevators up to the 124th floor of the Burj Khalifa. Standing on the observatory deck, enjoy the most beautiful sunset you’ve experienced in your life. Watch the Dubai Fountains dance below, throwing out jets of colored water to a height of 50 levels.

Night: Stroll along the Jumeirah Beach Walk and check out the magnificent architecture, the murals, and check out a few of the vibrant pubs and bars. This is the place to see and to be seen in Dubai.

Day 2

Morning: Sign up for a big bus hop-on-hop-off tour and see the city with fresh eyes in the morning. The beauty of this tour is that you can get off the big bus at any stop, explore the attraction on foot, and then get on the next bus in the line. You’ll be provided headphones through which you can hear a running commentary in your chosen language.

Afternoon: Spend the hot afternoon cooling off on the snowy slopes of Ski Dubai, the UAE’s biggest indoor ski resort. Ski Dubai has multiple ski slopes including a 400-meter diamond run. It also has a penguin park, a hilltop café, an ice cave and much more.

Night: Sign up for a night walking tour of Dubai to enjoy the sight of the city in the night. You’ll love seeing the Burj Khalifa all decked up in colorful LED lights and laser beams. Dubai is night is vibrant, full of lights and incredible to look at.

Day 3

Morning: Book a dawn hot balloon ride in the desert in advance. When you wake up in the morning after your overnight safari, you can enjoy soaring up in the skies over the pristine desert in a hot air balloon.

Rest of the day: After a rest at your hotel, head out Dubai Parks and Resorts. Enjoy several incredible theme parks – Motiongate, LEGOLAND, and Bollywood Parks. There’s also Riverland Boulevard, where you shop, dine and enjoy spectacular sights.

Bollywood Parks brings Bollywood action movies to life through immersive shows, rides, and programs. LEGOLAND opens up the world of imagination and creativity to kids. Motiongate brings the world of Hollywood pictures to life. This day will be the highlight of your 7 days in Dubai.

Day 4

Morning: Begin your morning with a guided tour to the Jumeirah Mosque at 10 A.M. The tour includes a fine breakfast spread, served with a dose of cultural information on Islam. The mosque itself is beautiful with its glittering domes and minarets.

Rest of the day: Explore Dubai’s own Venice, Souq Madinat. It’s a modern souq that’s built like an old Arabian market. Here you’ll find some incredible restaurants, bars, pubs, and shopping outlets.

Explore the many stands, barrows, and stalls selling souvenirs, luxury fashion goods, and jewelry. From the souq, you can enjoy magnificent views of the iconic Burj Al Arab Jumeirah. Sign up for a show-stopping performance at the Madinat Theatre. Alternatively, you can take an Abra tour of the stunning water canals as evening approaches.

Day 5

Morning: Take the monorail to the Palm Jumeirah Islands from Dubai Marina. Explore the large shopping walkway and the lovely architecture of the skyscrapers all around. Enjoy checking out the magnificent Atlantis The Palm resort – one of Dubai’s enchanting landmarks.

Afternoon: Spend the hot afternoon cooling off at the Aquaventure Waterpark, enjoying crazy water rides. The Palm Jumeirah Islands have a number of wonderful restaurants, bars, and clubs, which you can explore to round off your afternoon.

Evening: Spend your evening enjoying the Dubai Marina area, which is surrounded by beautiful tall buildings. Check out the incredibly expensive yachts and fancy boats moored at the Marina and the equally expensive cars lined up along the streets. At Pier 7, check out the seven floors of restaurants and bars situated on the water.

Evening and Night: Sign up for an overnight desert safari, where you can enjoy dune bashing, camel riding, and quad biking. After a blissful desert sunset, you’ll have plenty of cultural entertainment in the welcome tent.

Enjoy belly dancing, Tanoura dancing and henna tattooing following by an excellent Emirati dinner. If you’re not the one to spend overnight in the desert, then a relishing evening desert safari Dubai will be the best for you.

Day 6

Morning: If you love to bargain and shop, spend time at the Gold Souq, Spice Souq, Perfume Souq and Textile Souqs of Bur Dubai and Deira. Be sure to bargain and quote for around half the asking price.

Afternoon: Visit IMG Worlds of Adventure to catapult yourself to the world of cartoons. Explore the world of Flintstones, Bugs Bunny, the Powerpuff Girls, and other fun cartoons through rides, shows, and animatronics.

Evening: Dubai is home to beautiful beaches, blessed with clear skies and clean sands. Visit Kite Beach and Jumeirah Beach and try your hand at kite-surfing, banana boating, and other fun activities.

Day 7

Morning: Visit the 150-meter tall Dubai Frame for a scintillating view of old and new Dubai. The tall golden frame is 93-meters wide. From on top of the bridge, you can get a good view of the Emirates Towers and Burj Khalifa on one side, and the older parts of the city from the other side.

Afternoon: It’s time to check out Dubai Garden Glow, a special theme park that’s open only from November to April the next year. This year you can enjoy a fabulous dinosaur park with realistic dino animatronics. There’s also an ice sculpture park and a beautiful art park made out of millions of yards of luminous fabrics, old bottles, and CDs.

Evening: On your last evening, stroll along the magnificent Dubai Miracle Garden. Enjoy the fantastic shapes made by flowering plants. There’s an airbus, plenty of arches, beautiful flower arrangements, famous people in flowers and more. This is your last evening, in your 7 days in Dubai itinerary, so be sure to take plenty of pictures.
