Going on a holiday can be thrilling but planning the perfect itinerary before leaving the house can be hectic. To add to everything else, the timing of your trip is an important factor.
People usually tend to make a trip when they have a few days off from work – sounds obvious, right? But if you live in a country with different holiday/peak seasons compared to your destination, then you should carefully evaluate the timing.

On this day when the entire city is rejoicing Eid-ul-Fitar with friends and family, I am sharing a few photos from my recent food walk on the fuming streets of Fraser Town in the form of a photo blog.
Fraser Town, for those who are not familiar with, is one of the hot spots in Bangalore, famous for its huge spread of Iftari food during the holy month of Ramzan. People from all around the city irrespective of their caste, will come here for some delicious food, great Suleimani chai and some good old adda. (Bengali’s version of a gathering to usually chit chat).

Recently I shared my experience of an amazing road trip to Masinagudi, through the scenic forest areas of Bandipur and Mudumalai, during which we spent a night at the Forest Hills Farm and Guest House before coming back to Bangalore. This is one such place where you would be happy to disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with nature.

I have been craving a weekend getaway for a while now and when talks of a trip to Masinagudi was brewing, I knew that I had to go.
Deriving its name from the famous Masani Ammam temple located in the hilly terrains of the city, Masinagudi is a small hill station in the Nilgiri district of Tamil Nadu and one of the five regions in Mudumalai National Park. Due to its proximity to Ooty (roughly 30 km), Masinagudi is widely visited by tourists of all kinds.

I will ask you a simple question. What do you expect the most when you visit a new place? Well, for this question everyone would have different answers. For me, a city that can make you completely lost in its beauty and charm is worth visiting. And Venice is one of those cities, which is eternally magical in its own way.
Venice, often lovingly known as the Floating City has many things to offer you from historical canals, winding streets to gondolas.

The Bengali New Year or Poila Baisakh is the first day of the Bengali Calendar, celebrated with processions, fairs, family time, and lots of sweet. It’s celebrated on 14th April in West Bengal, India and as a National holiday in Bangladesh.
Traditional Bengali New Year celebrations include wearing new clothes, sharing sweets and pleasantries with friends and family, touching feet of elders to seek blessings for the upcoming year and go with parents to do “haal khata”.
