On this day when the entire city is rejoicing Eid-ul-Fitar with friends and family, I am sharing a few photos from my recent food walk on the fuming streets of Fraser Town in the form of a photo blog.
Fraser Town, for those who are not familiar with, is one of the hot spots in Bangalore, famous for its huge spread of Iftari food during the holy month of Ramzan. People from all around the city irrespective of their caste, will come here for some delicious food, great Suleimani chai and some good old adda. (Bengali’s version of a gathering to usually chit chat).

I will ask you a simple question. What do you expect the most when you visit a new place? Well, for this question everyone would have different answers. For me, a city that can make you completely lost in its beauty and charm is worth visiting. And Venice is one of those cities, which is eternally magical in its own way.
Venice, often lovingly known as the Floating City has many things to offer you from historical canals, winding streets to gondolas.

The Bengali New Year or Poila Baisakh is the first day of the Bengali Calendar, celebrated with processions, fairs, family time, and lots of sweet. It’s celebrated on 14th April in West Bengal, India and as a National holiday in Bangladesh.
Traditional Bengali New Year celebrations include wearing new clothes, sharing sweets and pleasantries with friends and family, touching feet of elders to seek blessings for the upcoming year and go with parents to do “haal khata”.

As I was tuning the radio to listen to my favorite radio channel while carpooling to my office, I heard about the Lalbagh flower show and immediately made a plan to visit it after my work that day. Every year on Republic Day and Independence Day, remarkable flower shows are organized at the Lalbagh Botanical Garden in Bangalore. The bi-annual event is jointly organized by the Department of Horticulture and Mysore Horticulture Society, becoming one of the most awaited events in the city of Gardens. This year’s theme is a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi to commemorate his 150th Birth Anniversary. The show was inaugurated on 18th Jan and ended on 26th Jan with a footfall of 7 lakh visitors.
